This was reported to RIA Novosti by the representative of the Federal Office for Defense Procurement of Switzerland (Armasuisse) Kai-Gunnar Sievert.

"Currently, the supply of systems to the UK is not planned. The UK has been informed of the decommissioning and impending disposal of these systems. There have been no offers to buy them yet," he said.

According to him, air defense systems can no longer effectively counter modern air threats.

Earlier, the media wrote that the Swiss authorities decided to dispose of 60 serviceable British Rapier anti-aircraft missile systems, which could be supplied to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Verkhovna Rada deputy David Arahamiya argued that Ukraine needs to receive weapons from Switzerland, despite the neutral status of the country.
