Song Tao welcomed the delegation to visit. He said that General Secretary Xi Jinping delivered an important speech at the first session of the 14th National People's Congress, and we must fully implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi's speech, implement the party's overall strategy for resolving the Taiwan issue in the new era, adhere to the one-China principle and the "consensus of '92", actively promote the peaceful development of cross-strait relations, resolutely oppose interference by external forces and "Taiwan independence" separatist activities, and unswervingly promote the process of reunification of the motherland. We will steadily advance all work on Taiwan and help Taiwan companies and enterprises integrate into the new development pattern and participate in high-quality development. It is hoped that Taiwan's commercial and service enterprises, including the members of the General Chamber of Commerce, will seize the historical opportunity of the comprehensive advancement of Chinese-style modernization and achieve better development in the mainland.
Song Tao stressed that cross-strait exchanges and cooperation can enhance the interests and well-being of Taiwan compatriots, and we welcome compatriots from all walks of life on the island to visit the mainland for exchanges and cooperation, and will continue to improve the system and policies for improving the well-being of Taiwan compatriots, so that everyone is willing to come, stay, and develop well, so as to benefit Taiwan compatriots more in the integrated development of the two sides of the strait.
Song Tao stressed: Taiwan's industrial and commercial circles and entrepreneurs should adhere to the one-China principle and the "consensus of '92," uphold the great national righteousness, bravely shoulder historical responsibilities, give play to their own influence, resolutely oppose interference by external forces and "Taiwan independence" separatist activities, encourage more Taiwan compatriots to participate in the process of Chinese-style modernization, and make new contributions to promoting the peaceful development of cross-strait relations and the peaceful reunification of the motherland with practical actions.
Xu Shubo said that compatriots on both sides of the strait are one family and have deep emotional ties, so they should come and go frequently and strengthen exchanges and cooperation.
