Several people were injured after a boat capsized at the Leith shipyard outside Edinburgh, a spokesman for the Scottish Ambulance Service said.

Five ambulances, one air ambulance, three trauma teams and other emergency services were dispatched to the scene, the statement added.

Images posted on Twitter showed a large ship leaning over the wall of a dry dock. A local councillor posted on social media that strong winds had caused the incident.

Edinburgh Police asked people to avoid the area to allow emergency services access." We are responding to an incident at Imperial Dock in Leith when a drydock boat was evacuated from its hold," police said.
