SMHI warns of a persistent snowfall along the Västerbotten coast that can cause problems in traffic. It will blow properly and this can lead to snowdrifts and drift formation.
The snow that is expected to fall over the Västerbotten coast will remain for a long time, and more snow is expected after that.
"You have to wait for ice and snow-free streets," says Pererik Åberg.
Large amounts of snow this year
In southern Sweden, spring has already arrived. In Västerbotten, however, you have to wait for this. Normally, spring falls along the Västerbotten coast sometime in mid-April. But this year there are large amounts of snow. In normal years, the snow depth is half a meter, this year it has been measured at one meter.
"You have to look forward to when the sun still arrives," says Pererik Åberg.
