The Swedish Schools Inspectorate has examined 30 schools in the academic years 2014/2015 and 2018/2019 and Gränsälvsgymnasiet in Övertorneå is one of the schools that receives criticism.

The review shows that the vice-chancellor can to a low extent explain why there is so much difference between the grades and the results of the national tests.

"The principal needs to develop the work of analyzing and problematizing grade deviations, to find out if the deviations are justified or not," the Swedish Schools Inspectorate writes in its report.

Quickly deploys help

But the principal, Martin Östling, for his part, believes that they do not give happiness ratings - but that they are a small school that can quickly put in help.

In addition to the fact that a few grades can affect the percentage a lot, the vice-chancellor also believes that a few months pass between the tests and the grades. In that time, they have time to help the students a lot – hear more about it in the clip above.
