"We are the largest manufacturer of hummus in the country. Virtually all other hummus on the market is imported, says Elin Ingves Pyk, CEO of Sevan AB.

About 50 people work in the grey building in the industrial area, 20 of them in the warehouse and in the factory. And right now it's busy days because of Ramadan.

"The stores we deliver to want their goods so that their customers can celebrate properly.

Exporting to Northern Europe

Rice, bulgur, dates – there is a lot to be delivered on from countries like Turkey and Lebanon.

The company had a turnover of SEK 377 million last year and today exports its products to northern Europe.

"I usually say that we make ordinary food for ordinary people, and we want to continue on that path.
