The ministry noted that they consider London's promise to supply such shells as Britain's intention to be at the forefront of the camp of Russian ill-wishers.

"The Anglo-Saxons publicly signed their desire to bring the confrontation in Ukraine to a new level," the Foreign Ministry said.

They drew attention to the serious consequences of the use of such toxic and radioactive munitions in Yugoslavia and Iraq.

"Such a frank in its cynicism behavior of the British side again clearly demonstrates who is the true aggressor and instigator of the conflict in Ukraine," the foreign Ministry said in a statement.

The decision of the kingdom will not remain without serious consequences both for Russian-British relations and at the international level, Moscow noted.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov warned that such a decision by Britain would lead to a serious increase in escalation, and Russia would take this into account in its actions and would rely on its military doctrine.

Russian President Vladimir Putin also said that Russia will be forced to react if the collective West begins to supply Ukraine with weapons with a nuclear component.

On March 21, a member of the British House of Lords, The Minister of State for Defense of Great Britain, Annabel Goldie, reported that London would send Kiev "ammunition, including armor-piercing ammunition containing depleted uranium."
