Although Kelliher was voted the best center in the league by far last year, she couldn't stop Östersund from knocking out her team Visby in last year's quarterfinal game. During the summer, it was clear that Östersund had recruited the high-scoring center.
"I was impressed with Östersund's effort as a newcomer and their way of playing looked exciting. Then when the opportunity to play here came, it was an easy choice," Kelliher said.
Reunite with teammates
The move to Östersund also means that she will be reunited with two players she played with earlier in her career. Hannah Whitish, who chose to extend his contract with Östersund, and Gaby Bronson, who is also one of the club's new acquisitions for this season.
