In a majestic welcome song, Xi Jinping and Putin strode along the red carpet from both sides of George Hall into the center of the hall. The two heads of state shook hands and took a group photo. The military band plays the national anthems of China and Russia.

The two countries first held small-scale and large-scale talks.

Xi Jinping pointed out that China and Russia are each other's largest neighbors, and consolidating and developing long-term good-neighborly and friendly relations with Russia is in line with historical logic and is China's strategic choice, which will not change due to a momentary event. Since my first state visit to Russia 10 years ago, China and Russia have respected each other, trusted each other, benefited each other, and the relations between the two countries have been strong for a long time, showing more comprehensive, more pragmatic and more strategic characteristics. During this visit, many Russian people showed their own hands wherever our convoy passed, which made me deeply feel that China-Russia relations have a deep foundation of public opinion. No matter how the international situation changes, China will continue to be committed to promoting the comprehensive strategic partnership of coordination between China and Russia in the new era. My current state visit to Russia is a journey of friendship, cooperation and peace. China is willing to work with Russia to carry on the past and forge ahead into the future, enrich the connotation of the comprehensive strategic partnership of coordination between China and Russia in the new era, create more benefits for the two peoples, and make greater contributions to the cause of human progress.

Xi Jinping pointed out that at present, the evolution of the century-old changes has accelerated, and the international balance of power has evolved profoundly. As permanent members of the UN Security Council and major powers in the world, China and Russia have an unshirkable responsibility to work together to guide and promote global governance in a direction that meets the expectations of the international community and promote the building of a community with a shared future for mankind. The two sides should support each other on issues involving each other's core interests and jointly resist interference by external forces in internal affairs. It is necessary to strengthen communication and coordination in international affairs, especially within multilateral frameworks such as the United Nations, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and the BRICS cooperation mechanism, practice true multilateralism, oppose hegemonism and power politics, promote global post-epidemic economic recovery, promote the development of multipolarization, and promote the reform and improvement of the global governance system.

The two heads of state heard reports by the heads of relevant departments of the two countries on cooperation in various fields.

Xi Jinping pointed out that with the joint efforts of the two sides, the political mutual trust, convergence of interests and people-to-people ties between the two countries have been continuously deepened, cooperation in the fields of economy and trade, investment, energy, humanities and localities has continued to advance, cooperation fields have been expanded, and consensus has been further strengthened. This year is the first year for China to fully implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, and we will accelerate the construction of a new development pattern, focus on promoting high-quality development, and comprehensively promote Chinese-style modernization. Sino-Russian cooperation has great potential and space, and is strategic, reliable and stable. The two sides should strengthen overall coordination, expand traditional trade in energy, resources, mechanical and electrical products, continue to enhance the resilience of industrial chains and supply chains, and expand cooperation in information technology, digital economy, agriculture, service trade and other fields. It is necessary to increase cooperation in the field of innovation and smooth cross-border logistics and transportation. It is necessary to consolidate the foundation of people-to-people exchanges, promote the expansion of exchanges between sister provinces, states and cities, continue to hold the China-Russia Sports Exchange Year, and create convenient conditions for promoting personnel exchanges between the two countries.

Putin said that the Russian side once again warmly congratulated President Xi Jinping on his unanimous election as President of China and the formation of China's new government. At present, Russia-China relations are developing very well, the two countries have made great progress in cooperation in various fields, the government, legislative bodies, exchanges and cooperation at all levels and in various fields are very active, and bilateral trade between Russia and China has grown against the trend in complex external environments such as the new crown epidemic. It is hoped that the two sides will give full play to the role of the existing exchange channels between the two countries, promote new progress in practical cooperation in the fields of economy and trade, investment, energy, aerospace, cross-border transportation and logistics, and reach a new level of people-to-people exchanges in sports, tourism and localities. Russia firmly supports China in safeguarding its legitimate interests on issues related to Taiwan, Hong Kong and Xinjiang. Congratulations to China for successfully promoting the historic outcome of the dialogue between Saudi Arabia and Iran in Beijing, which fully demonstrates China's important position and positive impact as a global power. The Russian side appreciates that China has always upheld an objective and impartial position in international affairs, supported China's global security initiative, global development initiative and global civilization initiative, and is willing to further strengthen international cooperation with China.

The two heads of state believe that during the visit, the exchanges between the two sides were in-depth and rich and comprehensive, which injected new impetus into the development of the comprehensive strategic partnership of coordination between Russia and China in the new era.
