It was in the middle of the night when he received a call from his son. But when he answered, all he heard was the daughter-in-law's screams. His son had been shot at the door of his home.

The family had heard several shots fired. In retrospect, the father was told that two perpetrators had fled the scene.

For the father, the road to the hospital was perceived as an eternity.

"I drove behind in the ambulance helicopter. The whole world went dark, I just wanted to see my son," he said.

Have JO-notified prosecutors and police

According to the father, his son was murdered because pictures of his grandson, suspected of an attempted murder in the ongoing spiral of violence, were displayed in a media context.

This week, the JO family has reported the prosecutor and the police for not protecting the relatives at the time of publication.

SVT has sought the prosecutor but has not received a response.

The grandson broke off contact

The grandson is suspected of attempted murder after an incident in which several shots were fired at a residence, but no person came to physical harm.

According to SVT's survey, the grandson belongs to the Vårby network and has been convicted of, among other things, robbery and money laundering.

Several people that SVT has talked to say that both the father and the grandfather have tried to get him to leave the criminal environment. This is said to have caused him to break off contact with his family for several years.

"I texted and called him every day, but he never answered. I don't even know if that's his number.
