"It's boring and dangerous, and it's at the expense of customers' safety," says Nena Drustinac, who receives mistreated customers at her beauty clinic in Falun.

The law was introduced on July 1, 2021 and since then a total of 1642 clinics around the country have been registered with Ivo, however, there is a dark number in Sweden, on companies that do not register.

'Utterly inhumane'

Nena Drustinac owns a beauty salon in Falun. She is a registered nurse and also works part-time at Falu Hospital. She has been performing aesthetic injection treatments for 13 years and tells SVT Nyheter Dalarna that there are companies in the county that are frivolous.

– Many perform treatments without identification. It's completely inhumane," she says.

Increasingly popular with injection treatments

At the same time, interest in injection treatments with, for example, botox and fillers has increased. The number of therapists registered with Ivo at the end of 2022 has increased compared to the number registered at the end of 2021, according to statistics from Ivo. This applies both nationally but also in Dalarna.

At the end of 2021, there were 15 registered therapists in Dalarna and the following year ten more were registered. Nationwide, the number has increased by nearly 300.
