The text of the statement of the two countries following the Results of the Russian-Chinese negotiations was published on the Kremlin's website.

Russia and China stressed the importance of the Joint Statement of the Leaders of the Five Nuclear-Weapon States on the Prevention of Nuclear War and the Prevention of an Arms Race.

"The parties reiterate that there can be no winners in a nuclear war and it must never be unleashed," the statement said.

In addition, Moscow and Beijing called on all signatory states to follow its key postulates, including effectively reducing the risk of unleashing a nuclear war and any armed conflict between countries that possess nuclear weapons.

It is also noted that all nuclear powers should not deploy their nuclear weapons outside national territories and they should withdraw all nuclear weapons located abroad.

Prior to this, it was reported that the Russian Federation and the People's Republic of China in a joint statement called a responsible dialogue the best way for a sustainable settlement of the crisis in Ukraine.
