After the rejection of the two motions of censure in the National Assembly, thousands of people gathered all over France to denounce the passage in force of the pension reform. In Toulouse, the demonstrators want to continue the mobilization, disgusted that the deputies could not censor the government.

It is now official: after the rejection of the two motions of censure in the National Assembly, the pension reform was adopted on Monday. But after this announcement, in the streets, all over the country, thousands of French people continue to shout their opposition to the government's project, which aims in particular to raise the legal retirement age, from 62 to 64 years, sometimes violently, as in Strasbourg, where windows were ransacked.

But in Toulouse, it is above all the disgust of the rejection of the transpartisan motion of censure, by nine votes, that stands out. Surrounded by a large police force to avoid any wild demonstration, the hundred or so demonstrators still struggle to believe it. "I am very angry with the LR deputies who did not vote because it is the people who put them there," Anita told Europe 1. Now, "we must continue the mobilization without stopping," she continues.

A mobilization that will continue

An idea widely shared in the processions all over France. "Politically, it is confirmation that this government is isolated and I think that the National Assembly has just demonstrated that it is not at all in line with the expectations of the population," said Cédric Caubère, secretary general of the CGT of the Toulouse region. "And it is not because the law passes that for all that, the mobilization must decrease," he continues.

So, despite a tense face-to-face that gave rise to the firing of some tear gas grenades, the rally ended peacefully and a new mobilization is planned this Tuesday around the aeronautical area, in particular to block access to Airbus.
