It was on Sunday that police received an alarm about a stolen car pulling an open trailer with several scooters. The police helicopter spotted the stolen car during the afternoon and later a police patrol tried to stop the vehicle.
But the driver did not want to stop and drove away but the escape came to an abrupt end. The man thundered straight into a roundabout and got stuck in the deep snow. He tried to escape on foot but was quickly overpowered by a patrol.
Suspected of six different crimes
After questioning on Sunday, prosecutors decided to arrest the man and he is now suspected of six different crimes:
- Appropriation of means of transport
- Theft
- Drug driving
- Minor drug offences
- Aggravated unlawful driving
- Gross negligence in traffic
In addition to the stolen car, the stolen trailer with the scooters has also been recovered.
