Carina Ödebrink is district chairman of the Social Democrats in Jönköping County for ten years, but she has chosen not to run again.

The Nomination Committee has proposed a new district chairman in 31-year-old Sebastian Hörlin from Eksjö. Today he is a municipal councillor in Eksjö municipality and treasurer of the party district.

"Sebastian Hörlin has strong support in the party district. He has a good organizational ability, which he has shown both in his assignment as treasurer in the party district and in Eksjö municipality, says the chairman of the nomination committee, Alf Gustafsson, in a press release.

Speaker for HV71

The press release states that Sebastian Hörlin has broad experience of popular movement work and association life and that he is also active in handball with various assignments. He has also been a match official and speaker for HV71. Between 2019 and 2022, he was an opposition councillor in Eksjö municipality, and since the election he has been a municipal councillor.

"I am honored by the trust that the nomination committee shows me and it is with great humility that I am running for the position. I look forward to, together with party friends in the county, continuing to develop and manage the work of the party district. The Social Democrats in Jönköping County need to continue the work of strengthening the organization with studies and member recruitment in order to win elections in the future, says Sebastian Hörlin.
