This was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin.

"We insist on the package nature of this deal, primarily in the interests of African and other developing countries. I mean, they need large amounts of food," he said.

Putin also noted that the fair and comprehensive implementation of the grain deal will be ensured only if Moscow's position is taken into account.

Earlier it was reported that the head of the Turkish Defense Ministry Hulusi Akar is negotiating with the Russian and Ukrainian sides on the extension of the grain deal for 120 days instead of 60.

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Vershinin said that Russia decided to extend the grain deal only for 60 days due to the lack of progress on the supply of Russian food and fertilizers.
