This Monday afternoon will be voted the two motions of censure against the executive. Four days after the use of 49.3 by Elisabeth Borne to pass the pension reform without a vote in the National Assembly, in Montauban, protesters continue to mobilize against the text.

While the two motions of censure against the pension reform are about to be voted this Monday afternoon in the National Assembly, the demonstrations continue. In Montauban, near Toulouse, the CGT called for a rally.

The battle continues in the streets

The activists present send a clear message to the deputies: we must vote for the motion of censure. They marched earlier in the city center and they expect a lot from this vote that would put a stop to this reform that they have been fighting for weeks.

Many were shocked by the use of section 49.3. "I didn't think they would go this far," said one protester. If this day is decisive for Maximilien, of the FSU of Tarn et Garonne, it will not mark the end of the movement. "This is one of many. I believe that there is what is happening in the Assembly, what is happening in the streets, in companies, in blockades. We are not going to give up. Politics plays its role and at the same time, the street, people, employees, pensioners have their place in today's battle," he told Europe 1.

Power cuts

Jean, an employee in the energy sector, notes an unprecedented mobilization in this sector. "There are targeted cuts, gatherings of vehicles that prohibit any planned intervention. There is no longer a construction site that is being done at Enedis and Gaz de France. It is still something that is completely unprecedented over time. Given the state of mind of the people and the anger, there is no reason for it to stop," he explains.

The planned rally in the city centre is dispersing peacefully. There is no question for them to give up. Even if the motion of censure were to be rejected, they intend to continue marches and demonstrations until the total withdrawal.
