The road turned, but not the motorist – who drove right into a preschool yard in Sala hill. The journey took place, as P4 Uppland has reported, during the night Saturday and the driver of the car is said by witnesses to have been seen fleeing the scene after the crash.
A man could then, after a while of searching, be arrested by police on suspicion of drunk driving, reckless driving and vandalism.
Will be open
On Monday morning, the preschool's outdoor environment was cordoned off, fences were overturned, and car parts remained in the courtyard.
– We will be open today, but with some modification of course, says Josefin Jansson, principal at the affected preschool Barnens Lilla Academia.
