"The Kiev regime has launched a planned information and psychological special operation," RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.
According to Rogov, the purpose of such an operation is to reduce the vigilance of the Russian Armed Forces and Russian society.
"Recently, as if on cue, a series of false plantings about shell hunger and lack of reserves has been released through the Western media and Ukrainian information dumps, although in fact the enemy is seriously strengthening," he said.
Earlier, Rogov said that the city of Zaporozhye is overflowing with the Ukrainian military.
On March 18, a foreign mercenary base was attacked in Zaporozhye.
