Over the past day, operational-tactical and army aviation, missile troops and artillery of groups of troops of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation defeated 89 artillery units in firing positions, manpower and equipment in 107 districts. "In the area of the village of Tonenkoe of the Donetsk People's Republic, the control point of the 110th mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was hit," Lieutenant General Igor Konashenkov, an official representative of the Russian Defense Ministry, said during a briefing.

He also said that air defense systems over the past 24 hours intercepted 15 rockets of the HIMARS, Smerch and Uragan multiple launch rocket systems. In addition, nine Ukrainian drones were destroyed in the air over the DPR, LPR and Kharkiv region.

Situation in the areas of SVO

The official representative of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation also spoke about the situation on the line of combat contact.

Thus, in the Kupyansk direction, artillery fire from the Western Group of Forces struck the enemy's manpower in the areas of Dvurechna, Sinkovka, Kotlyarivka (Kharkiv region), and Stelmakhivka (LPR). Up to 60 Ukrainian servicemen and three vehicles were destroyed.

In the Krasnolimansky direction, the strikes of operational-tactical aviation, artillery fire and heavy flamethrower systems of the "Center" group of troops hit the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near the villages of Nevskoye, Chervonaya Dibrova (LPR), Yampolovka and Grigorovka (DPR). Enemy losses amounted to more than 100 servicemen, two armored fighting vehicles, as well as the Gvozdika self-propelled howitzer.

In the Donetsk direction, the active actions of the units of the Southern Group of Forces, air strikes and artillery fire destroyed up to 120 Ukrainian servicemen, two armored combat vehicles, two cars, two MLRS Uragan combat vehicles, as well as a D-30 howitzer.

In the South-Donetsk and Zaporozhye directions, operational-tactical aviation and artillery of the Vostok group of troops hit the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near the villages of Novomikhaylovka, Ugledar (DPR), Levadne and Orekhov (Zaporozhye region). Enemy losses amounted to up to 50 troops and two pickups.

"In the Kherson direction, during a fire defeat, more than 25 Ukrainian servicemen, four cars, as well as two D-30 howitzers were destroyed during the day," Konashenkov concluded.

Zaporozhye region

In the kiev-controlled city of Zaporozhye, a strike was struck at the base of foreign mercenaries. This was announced by the chairman of the movement "We are together with Russia" Vladimir Rogov.

"Early this morning (04:15), a blow was struck at the Monica Bellucci restaurant complex, located on the territory of the elite Renaissance residential complex on Velyky Luga in the temporarily occupied city of Zaporozhye," he wrote in his Telegram channel.

According to him, the complex was one of the main bases of the Foreign Legion militants, where foreign mercenaries and instructors were located.

Referring to the data of local residents, Rogov said that the number of militants killed is in the dozens.

Kherson region

On the night of March 18, Russian artillerymen struck at one of the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near the village of Veletenske in the Kherson region. This was announced by a representative of the emergency services of the region in a conversation with TASS.

According to him, the enemy lost 20 soldiers, 15 Ukrainian fighters were wounded. Six vehicles were also destroyed.

On the eve of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported that up to 25 Ukrainian servicemen, two armored combat vehicles, ten cars, a MLRS combat vehicle "Grad" and a self-propelled artillery installation "Acacia" were destroyed in the Kherson direction.
