This is reported by The New York Times.

As the newspaper notes, due to the inability to fly over Russia, American airlines suffer losses, since foreign competitors who have access to Russian airspace transport passengers faster and at a lower price.

In this regard, airlines demand that the US authorities "solve this problem" by applying the same restrictions to foreign companies and forcing them to "fly on the same routes as their American competitors."

Earlier, the publication AirportHaber reported that Turkey stopped refueling and servicing Boeing and Airbus aircraft of airlines in Russia and Belarus because of a letter from the Office of Industry and Security of the US Department of Commerce.

Later, the Ministry of Transport of Russia said that Russian airlines operate flights to Turkey in the normal manner.
