The National Police has arrested a woman after the fire that occurred this Saturday in a house in Seville, in which a 4-year-old girl has been seriously injured, who has been transferred to a hospital center.
According to Efe sources of the investigation and the National Police, the minor suffers burns in 45 percent of her body, so she has been urgently evacuated to the Virgen del Rocío hospital.
Emergencies of the City Council has reported on its social networks that the fire has affected a floor on the ninth floorof a block of Samaniego Street, near the Santa Justa station.
A 20-year-old man who was in the room where the fire started was also affected by smoke inhalation.
After an hour of assistance at the scene, 061 has stabilized the girl and has been transferred in serious condition to the ICU of the Burn Unit of the hospital center.
The house has been affected in its entirety, and it is suspected that the flames started in a mattress, for reasons that are being investigated.
The reasons for the woman's arrest have not yet been disclosed.
