The incident allegedly occurred at the couple's residence on February 25 this year. In interrogation, the woman has told how the man became aggressive after coming home from a late night out and repeatedly punching her in the face with an open hand and pounding her head several times on the floor.

"The plaintiff called the police from a neighbor's apartment," prosecutor Carolina Frohm told SVT when the indictment came on March 7.

Wrote a message

The artist himself has denied any wrongdoing and has told police in interrogations that the girlfriend was very angry when he got home and how he tried to avoid her. After the girlfriend disappeared out of the residence, he allegedly sent her a message in which he wrote that his life and career would be over if it came to light that he had beaten her.

The girlfriend's injuries have been documented by doctors. The trial will be held at the Stockholm District Court.
