Laura Valenzuela has died this Friday at the age of 92, after a delicate period of health, as LOC has been able to know. The beloved presenter was admitted to the Madrid hospital of the Princess for a few days. "My mother is very bad. She is not in the ICU, she is on the floor and here we are all in the hospital with her," her daughter Lara Dibildos told the newspaper La Razón.

A few weeks ago she was admitted as a result of an infection at the Hospital de San Rafael and after being discharged, she returned to her home on the Paseo de la Castellana. She relapsed again and was admitted to La Princesa Hospital.

Laura is History. In capital letters. He was the first known face of a black and white TVE that was barely beginning to start without anyone having any idea of this invention. Everyone improvised.

Divine providence wanted the attractive Sevillian to change the course of her life. In Madrid she worked in a fashion store where she sold and paraded in haute couture dresses, until a very important client became infatuated with the model she wore. Due to the complaints of the buyer she was fired. The protagonist of that story was Cayetana, Duchess of Alba.

One day he met on the street with the actor José Luis Ozores -father of the actress Adriana Ozores- who advised him to go to the Paseo de la Habana because they were looking for something called presenters for a thing baptized as television. Laura didn't understand anything. He did a live test, there were no recordings, and captivated everyone for his beauty, his height, his grace, his spontaneity and his intelligence. And on top of that, he spoke several languages, including pristine French.

The year was 1956 and, from there, his life changed forever. Above all, when he presented Galas del sábado (1968) and Contar contigo (1968) with his dear friend Joaquín Prat, the first great male face of the small screen.

He made his film debut with El pescador de coplas (1954), and starred in some classics of history such as The Black Tulip (1964) with Alain Delon. His last film was Españolas en París (1971).

While his career was taking off, in 1958 he met producer José Luis Dibildos, who made him a contract for 13 films. As his daughter Lara said on the show: "My mother said he was stingy and paid terrible, but then he made a contract for life." After thirteen years of dating, they finally married in Illescas (Toledo) in 1971, when Laura was pregnant. The couple's best friend, Isabel Vigiola, Mingote's widow, confessed on the show: "Laura was commissioned in my house." The couple lived there before their marriage.

Laura Valenzuela: from being fired from a clothing store because of the Duchess of Alba, to being the first TVE presenter

Six months after the ceremony, Lara Dibildos (51) was born, who would also become one of the most beloved characters in the press of the heart. The presenter retired completely because her husband demanded it to devote himself to his family. He was a macho. He returned to the medium with the birth of the private ones, specifically, in the Telecinco space, ¿dígame? (1990). He never regretted saying goodbye forever to the big screen, because he did not like it and spent a lot of nerves, and saying goodbye to the little one.

Over the decades he had to deal with various setbacks. Her daughter developed papillary thyroid cancer in 1991 and Laura fainted as soon as they got the news. And in 2005, Laura had surgery for breast cancer in Houston because she had previously noticed a lump as a result of the discomfort she suffered with a bra ring.

The other bitter moment was the death of her husband due to a heart attack in 2002, one of the most important producers in the history of cinema. Despite this blow, the bond between mother and daughter became even more unbreakable. Until the last moment he enjoyed his grandchildren, Fran (24) and Álvaro (15). He went to bed very early and no longer wanted to know anything about popularity. Just being a mother and a nona, as she is affectionately called.
