  • Profile Lucía Bosé: Antonioni's muse who always did what she wanted

When in 2018 Miguel Bosé (66) appeared on the list of defaulters of the Treasury with 1.86 million euros was the moment in which the singer was aware that he had to say goodbye to his memories of childhood and adolescence. The concrete mansion in Somosaguas (Pozuelo de Alarcón, Madrid), of 1,000 squares built and 10,000 meters of land was mortgaged. Finally, he has sold it for 6 million euros to Thibaut Courtois (30), French goalkeeper of Real Madrid.

That was the place where the bullfighter Luis Miguel Dominguín and his wife, Lucía Bosé, raised their family and received close friends such as Picasso -godfather of the singer-, Dalí, Dr. Tamames -doctor of the bullfighter and confidant of the actress who made him aware of what was happening-, Audrey Hepburn and Lola Flores, among many others. It is true that it was the conjugal home, but it belonged to Luis Miguel.

Between these walls and their gardens there have been endless joys, dramas and amusements starring the most important characters of the twentieth century. The mansion always smelled of tuberose because Lucia was in charge of putting the sticks in individual vases that married with the same perfume that she bought in London. At lunchtime, around a large round table the diners were permanently observed by two huge ceramic vases by Picasso that at the same time delighted with the pediment decorated with drawings by the Malaga artist that he had given to the Tata. In the garden reigned the famous cow of Otero Besteiro.

At that time, high society and the artistic-political world considered it a great honor to be invited by the Dominguín-Bosé because it was considered as if Franco invited them to El Pardo. It was the center of (non-political) power. Lucia was very close to the Italian intelligentsia like Visconti, Pasolini, Bolognini and Felini, intimate with her.

At the behest of the protagonist of Death of a Cyclist (1955), during an encounter was born the first film by a young director named Jaime Chávarri (79), known for Las bicicletas son para el verano (1983). In those idle moments, the actress also dared to write the book Poemas de Somosaguas. One of them inspired Camilo Sesto -at the time it was said that they were in a relationship- to write the song Amor... Love, which was number one.

The parties were tremendously exquisite. Lola Flores danced a flamenquito, Audrey Hepburn told Hollywood battles, Miguel made his artistic steps before the guests ... Therefore, Somosaguas became an epicenter where communists, socialists and any type of ideology met.
