"We cannot say that there is any state that will stop American aggression, which has lasted at least three decades since the collapse of the USSR or even more since the Korean War. However, there are different methods. If we are talking about political activity, then a coalition between a number of countries is needed," Assad told RIA Novosti.

He noted that there are a number of countries that can contribute to the creation of a multipolar world.

"Russia and China have significant responsibility in this regard," Assad said.

Earlier, Russian leader Vladimir Putin said that the attempts of the West after the collapse of the Soviet Union "to remake the world exclusively for itself" led to such a situation that Russia is forced to respond to this.
