Marwan Issa, deputy chief of staff of the al-Qassam Brigades, the military arm of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), confirmed that the political project in the West Bank has ended, while the Israeli occupation forces arrested on Wednesday 24 Palestinians.

The Deputy Chief of Staff of the resistance – in statements to Al-Aqsa TV – that Israel "ended Oslo," noting that "the coming days are pregnant with events."

Regarding the escalation in the West Bank, Issa said that providing opportunities for resistance in the West Bank does not mean leaving it, nor does it mean that Gaza remains silent, stressing, "We will defend our people with all strength when direct intervention is required."

The Qassam official warned against any changes in the status quo at the Al-Aqsa Mosque, saying that "the occurrence of this will turn the area into an earthquake."

Commander Marwan Issa also stressed "the need to ignite resistance action" in all Palestinian arenas and support them financially, morally and in the media.

A campaign of arrests and disobedience

On the other hand, prisoners in Israeli occupation prisons continue, for the 30th consecutive day, steps of "disobedience" against the actions of the extremist Israeli Minister of National Security Itamar Ben Gvir.

According to the program, Wednesday, the prisoners will wear brown clothes (Shabas uniforms), sit in squares, and return meals.

On Thursday, the prisoners will enter their second month of "disobedience", according to the program approved by the Supreme Emergency Committee of the prisoner movement.

In a joint statement, the Prisoners' Club and the Prisoners' Authority confirmed that the "disobedience" steps will continue until the prisoners announce the start of the hunger strike step on the first of Ramadan.

Meanwhile, the Palestinian Prisoners' Club reported that the Israeli occupation arrested 24 Palestinians in different parts of the West Bank.

The arrests were concentrated in the town of Sa'ir and Al-Arroub refugee camp in the Hebron governorate, Deir Abu Mash'al and Bil'in in the Ramallah area, as well as the cities of Nablus and Jenin.

Large military forces stormed those areas, raided several homes, tampered with their belongings, and took the detainees to camps for interrogation on charges of resisting the occupation.

The number of prisoners in the occupation prisons reached about 4780,160 prisoners, including 29 children, 914 female prisoners, and <> administrative detainees.

Since the beginning of this year, the death toll in the occupied West Bank has risen to 84, including 15 children, women and prisoners in Israeli prisons.
