The social services in Ronneby received hundreds of phone calls and reports of concern about the incident in connection with the clips.

Among other things, the mother is seen stomping her three-year-old daughter in the face.

After the footage began to spread, the police were able to identify the woman and later arrest her.

The daughter was taken into care and has since been placed with a family home.

"Manipulated by unknown man"

According to the woman herself, she has been manipulated by an unknown man on Snapchat to carry out the violence against her child.

He allegedly told her to abuse her daughter to "show that she is in charge", and send him the videos.

The mother says she did it - because the man claimed it would lead to a good life.

The woman, who is in her 20s, has undergone a forensic psychiatric examination which shows that she did not suffer from any serious mental disorder during the abuse of her daughter.

She thus risks being sentenced to prison, and prosecutor Anna Johansson Toresten has requested two years.

They will arrive on Wednesday afternoon.
