China News Service, March 14 (Xinhua) According to the Russian Satellite News Agency, on the 14th local time, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Zakharova suggested that Serbian Economy Minister Rade Basta opposed the pressure from the United States instead of imposing anti-Russian sanctions.

According to reports, Zakharova wrote on the social media Telegram: "How strange is this position: the United States suppresses Serbia, and the Serbian minister calls for opposition to Russia. Maybe it would be better for the Serbian minister to oppose sanctions against Russia?"

Zakharova also said that unlike the United States, Russia has always respected Serbia and the Serbian people.

This matter not only involves the historical truth, but also involves an obvious fact: the US's pressure on Serbia due to sanctions against Russia will not end, but will only increase.

Previously, Basta emphasized that the Serbian government has a clear attitude on the issue of sanctions against Russia. He called for sanctions against Russia and pointed out that Serbia has paid a "high price" for refusing to support Western sanctions.

In this regard, the Serbian political organization "Serbian Socialist Movement" demanded Basta's resignation on the 13th.

"We hope that Basta will resign from the Serbian government on his own initiative. He opposes Serbia's liberal principles of independence and neutrality and has no support from other ministers," the political organization said in a statement on its official website.

The political organization has emphasized its opposition to sanctions against Russia, which Basta is trying to divide the Serbian government.

Serbian President Vucic has also stated many times before that the Serbian government adheres to a policy of military neutrality and will try not to impose sanctions on Russia.

He believes that Western countries are increasing pressure on Serbia because of Serbia's refusal to support sanctions against Russia.
