A citizen of the Russian Federation, acting in the interests of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, was detained in the Novgorod region, the press service of the regional department of the FSB reports.

“The unlawful activities of a citizen of the Russian Federation were suppressed, <...> [who] took measures to persuade those called up to the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation as part of the partial mobilization of persons to commit high treason by providing the enemy with information about the locations of Russian military units and formations, abduction and transfer of military equipment, voluntary surrender, ”TASS quoted the text of the message.

The court chose the detainee a measure in the form of detention for a period of two months.

Currently, a complex of investigative actions and operational-search measures aimed at clarifying all the circumstances of the crime committed is being carried out.

A criminal case was initiated against the detainee under Art.

275.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Cooperation on a confidential basis with a foreign state, international or foreign organization”).
