Regarding exports of Ukrainian agricultural products, Russia and Ukraine agreed to resume exports through the mediation of the United Nations and Turkey in July last year, amid growing concerns about the global food crisis.



As the deadline for the agreed framework approaches on the 18th of this month, the Russian side may not agree to the extension, arguing that "while Ukrainian agricultural products are being exported, exports of Russian agricultural products are being delayed." Regarding this, after the talks between Russia and the United Nations held in Geneva, Switzerland on the 13th, Russia's Deputy Foreign Minister Bershinin issued a statement and announced that he would not oppose the extension of the agreement.



However, he insists that the extension of the framework, which had been 120 days so far, will be shortened to 60 days.



Regarding this, the United Nations said, "We will continue to be fully involved in continuing exports of Ukrainian agricultural products and Russian food and fertilizers," but added that it was "noticing" the 60-day extension claimed by Russia. is.
