The guest harbor in Västervik wants to be at the forefront and is therefore investing in digitization.

The visitor can get all the information they need, book a berth and pay the fee in one and the same app.

- The visitors have increasingly high demands, so we wanted to make it as easy as possible for our visitors, says Andreas Nilsson, harbor master at Slottsholmen's marina.

In the summer, there will be electric boats for rent in the mobile.

They go slower than regular boats and have a navigation system that helps even the inexperienced sailor.

No risk of wrong parking

- It's a bit like the system of electric scooters that can be found in many cities.

We want to give visitors who come here without a boat the opportunity to experience the archipelago in their own way, says Andreas Nilsson.

It has been noticed in the media that these electric scooters are not always parked correctly.

Are you worried about the same problem here?

- No not at all.

You almost wished we had so many boats that it would become a problem, says Andreas Nilsson, and continues.

- We will have specific places where these boats can be moored.
