Every year, the car dismantling company scraps 2,000 cars, 50 of which are electric cars.

So far this year, around 20 electric cars have been delivered.

- Electric cars are increasing all the time, but it is more difficult than scrapping ordinary petrol or diesel cars.

It is primarily crashed electric cars that we receive, says Jens-Peder Mårtensson at Lycksele Bildemontering and continues:

- When the electric car has been standing for two weeks, we take it into the workshop and quickly break the circuit and remove the battery.

The batteries must not be near our buildings due to the risk of fire.
