China News Agency, Beijing, March 10. On March 10, Wang Yi, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and director of the Foreign Affairs Office of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, introduced the significance of the dialogue to reporters after presiding over the closing ceremony of the dialogue between Saudi Arabia and Iran in Beijing.

Wang Yi said that Shah-Iraq's Beijing dialogue has achieved important results and announced the restoration of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

This is a victory for dialogue and peace, which provides major good news and sends a clear signal to the current turbulent world.

First, the world is not limited to the Ukraine issue. There are many issues related to peace and people's livelihood that require the attention of the international community and timely and proper handling by the parties concerned.

Second, no matter how complex the problems are and how acute the challenges are, as long as we conduct dialogues on an equal footing in the spirit of mutual respect, we will surely find a mutually acceptable solution.

Third, the Middle East belongs to the people of the Middle East, and the fate of the Middle East should be in the hands of the people of the Middle East.

It is believed that countries in the Middle East will further promote the spirit of independence, strengthen solidarity and cooperation, and work together to build a more peaceful, stable and prosperous Middle East.

Wang Yi emphasized that the Beijing Dialogue has been advanced on the basis of the consensus reached by the leaders of China, Saudi Arabia and Iran, and President Xi Jinping has clearly supported it from the very beginning.

Dialogue has also become a successful practice of vigorously implementing the "Global Security Initiative".

As a good-faith and reliable mediator, China has faithfully fulfilled its duties as the host.

We will continue to play a constructive role in properly handling hotspot issues in today's world in accordance with the wishes of all countries and demonstrate our responsibility as a major country.
