It was after a little girl told about the abuse at the beginning of November last year that the man was arrested and detained.
Initially he denied the crimes but later he requested a new hearing where he admitted what had happened.
The man then told about more abuses against the girl and against other children further back in time.
He also told about other rapes against adult women, but several of the cases have been prescribed.
Raped woman in forest
In one of the cases he told about, which occurred 13 years ago, he was charged and convicted of attempted rape.
The man then tried to rape a woman in a forest.
The woman has previously told in questioning that she was attacked by a masked man with a spear.
He put her into the forest, pushed her to the ground and held her nose and mouth.
But the woman managed to break free and ran away.
The man himself has told that he planned to commit a rape in the forest that day, it appears in the verdict.
Gets six and a half years in prison
Nordvästskåningen is now being sentenced at the Helsingborg district court for three cases of aggravated rape against a child, one case of aggravated sexual molestation, one case of aggravated sexual abuse of a child and attempted rape.
In total, there are three children who have been exposed.
The penalty is six and a half years in prison.
The man must also pay a total of just over SEK 1.4 million in damages to the victims.
He admits to the crimes, but has objected that they should not be considered serious crimes, according to the verdict.
He has told that he has had sexual thoughts since he was a child, that he has thought about rape since he was in the seventh grade and that he wants to be locked up to end it and get help.
