The ten people who received the most electricity subsidies all received more than SEK 300,000, according to figures from Försäkringskassan that Ekot has seen.

The person who tops the list was paid SEK 773,668.

The person lives in southern Sweden, but in which electricity area is confidential.

According to the radio's calculations, 773,668 kroner in electricity support, provided that the person lives in electricity area 3, corresponds to an electricity consumption of 1.5 million kilowatt hours.

If the person lives in electricity area 4, the support corresponds to a consumption of just under one million kilowatt hours.

The purpose of the first electricity subsidy was to be paid out to private households, but Försäkringskassan suspects that electricity consumers who also run businesses may have mistakenly taken part of the subsidy since the payments showed that several households had a much higher electricity consumption than expected.
