SVT Västernorrland visited three car garages in Sundsvall today.

All have noticed an increased interest in buying "climate bonus car".

And why not?

Starting from Wednesday, all objects will be SEK 70,000 more expensive for the customer.

Questioned luxury bonus?

The reason the bonus is now being scrapped is that "the cost of owning and driving a climate bonus car is starting to become comparable to the cost of owning and driving a petrol or diesel car," says the government's press release.

And of course the bonus has been questioned.

Anyone who can still afford to buy a car for half a million may not need subsidies.

But the bonus has accelerated the transition to fossil-free means of transport and now it disappears.

Stress today - calm tomorrow

- It is clear that we have a lot to do today and will sell a lot of cars.

But tomorrow it will be completely empty in the hall, says a salesperson SVT Västernorrland spoke to.

Still, no one really believes that electric car sales will completely decline.

In the clip, you hear three car dealers in Sundsvall and their thoughts on the bonus that disappeared.
