Morozova said this on the air of the Belarus 1 TV channel.

“Torture with each exchange, interrogation of those released from captivity, only gets tougher, the conditions of detention worsen,” she stated.

According to the Ombudsman, this is due to the fact that the Kyiv authorities feel their impunity from the international community.

Morozova added that torture is used both physical and psychological.

Earlier it became known that the Investigative Committee of Russia is investigating the facts of ill-treatment of Russian prisoners of war in Ukraine.

In addition, the Russian Ombudsman Tatyana Moskalkova said that she was doing everything possible to draw the attention of the Ukrainian side and the ICRC to the problem of torture of captured Russians.
