The men were sentenced on Wednesday by the district court to prison for one year and nine months.

They were sentenced for hitting and kicking the father, Erik Sjöbring, in front of his children, after he objected to his bonus daughter being sexually assaulted at the bathhouse.

According to Sydsvenskan, the 24-year-old man has previously been convicted of both assault and drug offences.

The 25-year-old is convicted of, among other things, theft and burglary.

However, none of these crimes appeared in the register extracts that job seekers within the school must present to the employer.

Will be terminated

The 24-year-old's employment ended at the turn of the year, after the school management found that he was not suitable for the task.

- However, the 25-year-old is still employed as a student assistant.

As soon as the judgment becomes final, we will notify him of his dismissal, says Annika Andersson.

Today's rules for checking the records of those applying for jobs within the school cover crimes such as murder, manslaughter, aggravated assault, aggravated robbery, kidnapping, sex crimes and child pornography crimes.

Minister wants to tighten the law

Now education minister Lotta Edholm (L) is opening for a tightening of the law.

- There is reason to look at whether the legislation needs to be supplemented, so that, for example, weapon crimes and assaults are also visible in the register excerpts for the school, says Edholm to Sydsvenskan.

This is welcomed by HR manager Annika Andersson in Malmö.

- It is positive.

It is especially important that the right people work with children, she says.

When the district court judgment becomes final, however, is unclear.

According to the defense, it will probably be appealed.
