- I think that the politicians' debate is important precisely because we get our citizens to meet the politicians and hear how they think in their work.
And to have the opportunity to ask questions in person, says Alexandra Durne, who has helped start Queens.
Queens of Kalmar is a non-profit association that was started in 2017 that raises equality issues.
Right now, between March 8-12, they have organized several events in Kalmar, such as workshops, lectures and concerts.
Even though the festival is now in its sixth year, the association believes that they are just as important as when they started.
- It is important to keep the issue alive and not to think that we are there, because we are not, says Alexandra Durne.
