• Badalona They investigate a group sexual assault on an 11-year-old girl in the toilets of a shopping center

"She couldn't escape because she had a knife to her neck and they threatened to kill her. When they finished, they left her lying there."

With these words, the sister of the 11-year-old girl who was gang-raped on November 19 in the toilets of a shopping center in

Badalona

expressed the moments of horror suffered by the victim, harassed by a group of six minors.

The

Mossos d'Esquadra

are investigating this group sexual assault and have already identified five of the suspects thanks to the shopping center's security cameras.

The

Juvenile Court

initiated the procedure against two of them, one is on probation while another, who is accused of the most serious crimes in this sexual assault, is in a closed regime inside a juvenile justice center.

The other three are under 14 years of age and are unimputable.

However, the General Directorate for Child and Adolescent Care of the Generalitat informed their families of what had happened and their participation.

In statements to TV3's Planta Baixa program, the sister of the youngest stated: "If she had magical powers, I would like her to be well, that they would not affect her. She has

a life ahead of her

."

In addition, regarding the aggressors, she expressed her desire that "these people pay for what they have done, because it is horrible, violent, the

product of a society that is not aware of what is happening

."

Regarding the rape, she regretted that the suspects "did with her what they wanted, basically" since they approached her when she was alone in the shopping center threatening her with a knife, they took her to the bathroom and there they gang-raped her.

The victim, who is already 12 years old, is undergoing psychiatric and pediatric treatment at the

Germans Trias and Pujol Hospital

in Badalona since after the attacks she changed her character and locked herself in her room a lot.

In fact, the family did not know anything about what had happened until another brother commented that a video of the attack was circulating in the institute, for which they went to report it to the Mossos who began to investigate.

They contacted the shopping center that has provided security cameras at all times to try to identify the suspects by viewing the images.

Some of them could have some kind of background, according to police sources.

The Mossos continue to investigate to locate the sixth suspect in the group rape.

The school to which the minor goes also initiated the protocol to act in the face of sexual assaults.

The

Badalona City Council

called a concentration of support for the victim and rejection of the attack she suffered.

On social networks, the mayor, Rubén Guijarro, announced the protest and sent a message to the minor: "You are not alone!"

"I am following with concern the news of the sexual assault of an 11-year-old girl in the Màgic shopping center in November. I make myself available to the family and reiterate my commitment to a city free of sexist violence. We trust the investigation that is carrying the Mossos", indicated the mayor.
