This Tuesday, March 7 marks the beginning of a major general strike movement observed in many sectors such as rail transport.

At the RATP depot on rue de Lagny, in the 20th arrondissement, no bus leaves this morning.

Drivers, maintenance agents and controllers are mobilized.

Opponents of pension reform will march through the streets on Tuesday for the sixth time since the start of the movement.

Between 1.1 and 1.4 million demonstrators are also expected everywhere in France and major disruptions are to be expected, especially in public transport.

This is particularly the case at the RATP depot on rue de Lagny, in the 20th arrondissement of Paris, where no bus leaves this morning.

The showdown has begun.

Protesters unite

Thirty or even forty demonstrators are present.

It was drivers, maintenance workers, controllers who came to this drop-off center to block bus departures.

Demonstrators who came to say stop to the pension reform.

"Like many today in France, we are demonstrating against the pension reform. We are asking for total withdrawal because there are currently many more worries than making us work two more years", explains Emmanuel, CGT union representative at the RATP, at the microphone of Europe 1.

If the demonstrators continue to block in front of these buses, the police continue to intervene, sometimes with tear gas.

The police who form a cordon in front of the entrance to allow the first buses to leave.

As for the metros, many lines only operate during rush hours.
