National strike day this Tuesday.

Unions are determined to make their voices heard.

In the Pas-de-Calais, truckers have installed filter dams in Carvin.

They entrust to the microphone of Europe 1 their demands and their opposition to the pension reform wanted by the executive.

Since 4:30 a.m., the truckers have been blocking the road to Carvin.

This causes traffic jams in this commune of Pas-de-Calais.

This Tuesday marks a new day of national strike against the pension reform.

A long line of trucks is forced to stop, blocked by truck drivers and forklift drivers on strike.

And sometimes, there are quite tense exchanges: "You will not pass", throws a driver to a motorist who wishes to pass.

"It's been a quarter of an hour, I have to deliver, I have schedules," says the man.

"You wait five minutes, we are fighting for you, for your retirement", replies the driver.

“It is for your retirement that we are fighting,” adds another.

This driver is pissed because he has to unload his refrigerated truck as soon as possible.

"My retirement, I come to get it myself," he retorts.

"I'm not waiting for you. In my job, I don't work 8 hours a day and that's it."

“We fight for the employees”

On site, there are about fifty trade unionists, like Laurent, Force Ouvrière delegate.

"People have to agree," he says at the microphone of Europe 1. "We are here for them, we do not want this pension reform. People have to understand. We We are there for them. We are losing days of wages for them. That is the goal, we are fighting for the employees."

This filter barrier must last all morning.

Afterwards, these truckers will take the direction of a logistics platform to continue blocking.
