He planned to take part in the armed conflict in Ukraine on the side of the Armed Forces of Ukraine against the Russian Armed Forces in order to receive a reward promised to him by an unknown person on the Internet.
The detainee confessed.
Earlier, the chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia, Alexander Bastrykin, said that foreign mercenaries fighting on the side of the Armed Forces of Ukraine receive from 30,000 to 100,000 hryvnias.
According to him, volunteers from foreign countries often receive Ukrainian citizenship in a simplified manner, after which they join the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
