Gurgîn Bakircioglu has one goal: to reduce his personal greenhouse gas emissions in line with the Paris Agreement.

- I am trying to investigate how I can live much less "climate-weary".

But I have a diesel engine, that must be my biggest sin in life, he says.

Eating vegan is just one of the things Gurgîn Bakircioglu does to reduce his climate impact - he has also chosen not to have children because he believes they are bad for the climate.

- Everyone can do what they want in their lives and I like children, but I don't want children of my own, he says.

The dog gets meat

Instead, he lives with his dog Freja, whom he feeds meat, but also root vegetables such as potatoes to reduce her ecological footprint.

Today he lives both in the mobile home and sometimes in his girlfriend's apartment.
