This, according to TASS, was stated by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz.

According to him, in continental Europe, Germany is the country that does the most by providing financial, humanitarian and military assistance to Ukraine.

“We, with all our friends and allies, have always made it clear that we will not make decisions behind the backs of the Ukrainians,” Scholz added.

Earlier, the German chancellor said that the West is ready to provide certain security guarantees to Ukraine after the end of the conflict, but the time has not yet come for this.

Andrei Klimov, head of the Federation Council Commission for the Protection of Russia's State Sovereignty, suggested that during the visit of German Chancellor Olaf Scholz to Washington, the United States authorities could inform him about the new key role of Germany in the Ukrainian conflict.
