In addition, the head of government also mentioned the strike against the pension reform.

Reusable periodic protection (panties and menstrual cups) will be reimbursed from 2024 by Social Security for people under 25, in order to fight against menstrual precariousness, Elisabeth Borne announced on Monday.

The Prime Minister was a guest on the program

on France 5. On the eve of the sixth day of mobilization against the pension reform, she estimated that it is the "most modest" French people who will be "the first penalized" .

Here's what to remember from his interview.

Reusable periodic protection reimbursed for those under 25

"We are going to set up reimbursement by Social Security for reusable periodic protection from next year", declared Elisabeth Borne on France 5. This will concern "all young women under 25" and the measure will be budgeted for 2024, she added.

To be reimbursed, these periodic protections will have to be purchased in pharmacies, which will be possible "without a prescription", she further specified.

“It is unthinkable that women cannot have the protections they need,” commented the Prime Minister.

"The most modest" will be the "first penalized" by the strikes

The "most modest" French people will be "the first penalized" by the strikes, said Elisabeth Borne on Monday.

"A France at a standstill", as envisaged by all the trade unions, "it's obviously bad for our fellow citizens" and "the first penalized, when we have strikes, are the most modest French people" , said Elisabeth Borne on France 5.

The Prime Minister also judged that the use of the expression "bring France to its knees" was "serious" and "not responsible" in reaction to the words of the general secretary of the CGT Chimie Emmanuel Lépine.

"Let's respect the right to strike. Let's respect the right to demonstrate, but let's also avoid, on the part of union officials, using expressions like bringing the country to a standstill, bringing the country to its knees. I think that's not not very responsible to use this kind of formulation".

"Specialized poles" in the courts

Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne announced on Monday the establishment of "specialized poles" in domestic violence within the courts, in order to "respond locally" to the difficulties of women victims.

"We are going to set up specialized centers in each court to be able to better deal with this domestic violence, to also be able to respond globally to the difficulties encountered by women victims of violence", explained Elisabeth Borne on France 5.

These are not specialized jurisdictions, specified the Prime Minister after having received the first conclusions of a parliamentary mission which must deliver its final work at the end of March.

Some 200 poles will be created in total within the 164 judicial courts and 36 courts of appeal, it was specified to Matignon.
