  Author Zhu He

On the 5th, the Taiwan-related part of the government work report submitted to the first meeting of the 14th National People's Congress included the expression "promoting the joint promotion of Chinese culture on both sides of the strait." This made Cai Peihui, whose ancestral home is in Tainan, Taiwan, quite touched.

Promoting non-governmental exchanges across the Taiwan Strait with Mazu culture is one of the more than ten suggestions he brought to the meeting.

"Lanzhou has a river, a book, a bowl of beef noodles, and the 'Belt and Road' (initiative)." As the chairman of the Taiwan Federation of Gansu Province and a representative of the National People's Congress, Cai Peihui was recently interviewed by China News Agency and other media in Beijing , introducing the new look of the West.

He said that we must rely on the mainland to serve and speak out for the Taiwanese folks; he is willing to be a guide for Taiwan compatriots to "land" and help them better understand the mainland.

Advocating Taiwan's youth to pursue their dreams in the west

Cai Peihui’s early experience in Gansu gave Cai Peihui a deep affection for the land in the western part of the mainland. He “spent 30 to 40 years back and forth” and even became a family there.

According to Cai Peihui, there are now about 4,000 Taiwanese compatriots, Taiwanese family members, and cross-strait married children who have settled in Gansu.

In recent years, the western region has optimized the business environment and made every effort to fight for economic development and development.

"The situation is not what it used to be," Cai Peihui said. Northwest China is vast and rich in resources, rich in minerals, and has abundant resources of Chinese herbal medicines and agricultural products. In addition, the "Belt and Road" initiative has given valuable opportunities for open development. We welcome Taiwanese youth to come here to pursue their dreams.

Hope to welcome the spring of economic and trade cooperation

Noticing signs of recovery in non-governmental exchanges between the two sides of the Taiwan Strait this spring, Cai Peihui expressed the hope that Taiwanese entrepreneurs will visit more places, display their ambitions in the hot land of the mainland, and welcome the spring of economic and trade cooperation together.

Frequent contacts and more communication allow Taiwanese businessmen from Taiwan to understand the current economic development in the mainland. Cai Peihui said that the mainland market is huge, and Taiwan has unique advantages in the technology industry, agriculture, and breeding industries, and there is broad room for cooperation.

Regarding the "decoupling theory" of cross-strait economies advocated by some people on the island, he said that the DPP authorities have colluded with external forces to set up obstacles to cross-strait economic and trade exchanges, disregarding people's livelihood and well-being, and are unpopular.

Looking forward to young Taiwanese businessmen joining the Greater Bay Area

Cai Peihui also has another identity, he is the chairman of the board of directors of Fuli (Hong Kong) International Investment Group Co., Ltd.

As early as 1997, he captured the infinite business opportunities after Hong Kong's return to the motherland, and also witnessed the rapid development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area in recent years.

He was deeply touched by the interconnection and integration of the Greater Bay Area.

The products of cities in the Greater Bay Area can cover markets across the mainland, which strengthens the complementarity of advantageous resources and provides a platform for the development of mainland cities.

Cai Peihui pointed out that young entrepreneurs from Hong Kong and Macao come to invest in mainland cities in the Greater Bay Area, enjoy many policy conveniences, and realize their own development and help the Greater Bay Area to build better.

In the construction of the Greater Bay Area, Taiwanese youth and Taiwanese businessmen should not be absent. Dedicated to the Greater Bay Area can get high-quality returns, and go to the world from here.
