Germany: the bones of colonization, a heavy historical burden

Many German museums and institutes of anatomy possess several hundreds of thousands of skulls and bones inherited from colonization and racial research.

A heritage that brings us back to the dark hours of history and whose restitution has timidly begun, especially towards Namibia.

Other European countries have similar funds, such as Belgium or France.

And the French government plans to legislate on the question of the restitution of the bones.
