There was a brawl in the Parliament of Moldova due to the renaming of the state language into Romanian

Earlier it became known that the ruling party of Moldova "Action and Solidarity" at a parliamentary meeting approved in the first reading the renaming of the state language into Romanian.

Deputies from the opposition parties blocked the podium of the parliament in protest.

Last December, the chairman of the Moldovan parliament, Igor Grosu, said that the ruling party is studying the possibility of replacing the phrase "Moldovan language" with the expression "Romanian language" in the articles of the country's Constitution.
